London Still

Imperial War Museum today.
In retrospect, it was foolish to do the 'Crimes Against Humanity' exhibition and the Holocaust exhibition back to back. Emotionally draining, to say the least. I may have sobbed through some of it. Actually, the whole 5 hours I was there I felt guilty if I made any noise.

Yesterday - went to a Walkabout to watch the cricket. Didn't take me long to walk into an 'aussie' hangout. Australia's batting innings was a little boring (sorry folks) but the result was pleasing and expected. Wayne and I left straight after we won, and I think people thought we were British and sulking. Actually, we were catching a bus.

Had spent the day looking in the park and walking through town. Just lovely! I can't believe it is so warm here! When I say warm, I am still wearing thermals. The English are quite excited.

Not much else to report. Still having a good time. Catching up with V-train people tonight. Almost getting the Tube under control. You know, the usual.

Hope everyone had a good Easter with lots of chocolate. I am trying to resist all the cheap chocolate bars over here!

Chatted to Wayno the other night and I think he is loving having a mate to show the sights to. He said you dont drink enough though!?! How does that work? Did i miss the sarcasm in his voice? Ahhhh, wish I was over there with you lot! Please hijack his msn account if you're ever in one place long enough and get the chance (I know all he ever does is sit on his computer and at the moment thats all I'm doing as well, so please do... admittedly I might just tell you to go outside and enjoy london, but still, I will have talked to you).

Did you see my brother in Oxford? He may have been swimming in the river on a drunken dare... I know that has happened at past oxford/cambridge boat races and his ETOH consumption hasn't exactly decreased significantly since then, so I figure its a real possibility. If you head up there again I will get him to show you a few of the establishments if you like, let me know.

How long are you staying with the boys for now? Say g'day to Fleur if your still there when she arrives - she's bloody good fun!

Bugger this is long. I'm off.

Hi Kate!
So glad you are enjoying London! The question is, can you beat my 5 West End shows in two weeks?
Tip 1: Mary Poppins the Musical, at Prince Albert Theatre, is a must-see (awesome sing-a-long opportunities).
Tip 2: buy cheap tickets, on the day, at various places in Leicester Square.
There are just so many musicals to choose from! Bliss! I am jealous. No theatre in Hedo.
Love, Steph.

Hello Katie P!!!

London was apparently 20c the other day. Pom said they were BBQ-ing. However, it is 25coverhere and I am in ugh boots and a jumper. Damn you must be cold. Been shopping yet? Remember, if you want to buy me presents, I'm happy to pay postage :) Weeeeeeee. Have fun!
Love you

So, the hunky Prince William is single again.
Attack, Kate! While he's vulnerable! Do it for WA! (The Tasmanians are way too cocky at the moment with Miss Mary - its high time a West Aussie hooked up with a royal). No pressure.
I am a little too excited, perhaps.
But if you do come into contact with Will, please say hi from my mum. She's a big fan.
Love, Steph
p.s. seen any shows yet?

I did think about stalking Prince William until I was underwhelmed by Buckingham Palace. Plus, no one wants to be the rebound girl.
I'm totally seeing a show tomorrow. I am going to go and get the cheap tickets during the day. I keep being so disorganised. I've been here for ages and I am achieving nothing!
